SOD HEADS TO ABEOKUTA FOR
MINISTRATION
On Sunday, members of the Lagos branch will be ministering at a
tertiary in Abeokuta. Idowu is leading the charge and the CC will
also be speaking at the early morning service.
RUSSIAN WORKSHOP ROUND-UP!
For almost two weeks, Bunmi Olulonyoo has been hosting a Russian
professional dancer from New York who has been giving Master classes
in vaious dance styles to registered persons. Several other SOD
members have been taken part. Workshops concludes tomorrow with a
lot of fun!!!!
SCOTLAND SHOW POSTPONED TO MAY 2011!
In a statement today
from the CC, the club's plan's for the tour are being postponed to
May 2011. He said
"I'm
led...after much thought, prayer and consideration, to postpone the
tour to Scotland to May 2011. My plans are to revive branches,
emphasise The Projects & shows, resume instructor training &
possibly hold a CDC before we go. More specifically I sense the
coming of rain and the need for the 'My Life' message to soak deep
in our souls and walk. I do not expect preparations to slow or drop
but rather to be paced in order to ensure a richer output and
offering to our God! Having said this, the timetables remain the
same, except that in August our attentions turn to affairs at home.
There is yet a Cause but I am a man in authority and under authority
and this is His divine direction. May Grace be released for us to
continue in His work by His power, as He uses ordinary people to do
Extraordinary things. Amen!"
XPLODE! HOLDS TOMORROW IN AJEGUNLE!
Xplode resumes in Lagos tomorrow with Buki and the team hitting
Ajegunle! They will campaign Christ through dance for an hour at
Ajegunle's boundary marker: a famous spot for political rallies.
Today, a prayer meeting holds at the NCAC, National Theatre, Iganmu,
Lagos by 5pm for all interested and especially for Xplode members.
PREPS KICK OFF TOWARDS LAGOS BRANCH SHOW!
Its been way to long (click here for
details) since Lagos Branch staged an SOD show. In the past four
years the branch has been the supporting back bone for national and
international assignments. However, Wale Rubber and the gang are
ready to bring to Lagos the biggest show yet!!! For the Love of
Dance will feature big celebs who admit they owe a great deal of
their success today to the tenacity of faith in Spirit of David!
IFE BRANCH SHOW IN OCTOBER!
Lisa is the new HNIC in Ife branch!!! She and the rest of the club's
premier branch have set their sights on October to stage Ife's 8th
show in her 13 year history.
FRIDAY PRAYERS FOR TOUR CONTINUE!
From now till we travel an hour every Friday night has been put
aside for prayers. !!pm - midnight. Members all over the world are
encouraged to join in as we pray for what will easily be one of the
most important shows/messages in SOD's history!

ADMIN MEETING
TOWARDS SCOTLAND...
This week the admin
team meet to iron out members preparations towards the scheduled end
of September visit to Scotland. Rumour has it that each member would
have to raise N250, 000.00 but an official statement is expected
from the CC's Office later this week

September 21 is the
tentative date for SOD Nigeria members to meet up with their
colleagues in the UK to stage a series of ministrations in London
and a sombre, end-time show in Scotland. The plans have been
announced by the CC and can be

wedding! Our female members are dropping like flies! Congrats to
Ikpongke nee Johnson who married earlier in the month; Bolaji nee
Dahunsi (formerly Ago branch) who married last weekend, Yemisi Ajulo
(August 7) and Banji Coker (August 14) All the very best!!!

BETTER DANCING PREPARES FOR
AN ALL-IMPORTANT FESTIVAL
Better Dancing is the arm of Spirit of David aimed at improving the
overall dance quality of the Spirit of David member. Funke Sodade as
head of the Academy has proposed a workshop later in the year
designed to teach us the place of dance in worship and ministry.

LAGOS, ADO and IFE ALL PREPARE FOR
LONG-AWAITED SHOWS
The Lagos show will be called "For the Love of Dance" and the
Coordinator Mr. Wale Sodade has already promised an unforgettable
outing in UniLag and Muson centre before the end of the year. Ado
will stage a show called "Something to Say", while Ife plans to
present "Lost" to the thousands that will definitely swarm the Amphi
theatre in O.A.U!!.

CONTACT LIST UPDATED In response to the
CC's announcement about branches, several calls and messages are
being placed to Coordinators and senior members around the country.
The CC has just released a new contact list for the branches. Could
this be a foretaste of things to come?
BAYO OKUNADE RECEIVES LAGOS BRANCH
PART-SCHOLARSHIP AWARD!
Over 50 people voted
who should receive a scholarship of N50, 000 to help their visit to
South Africa for the show. 6 candidates were short-listed but
eventually Bayo Okunade walked away with the money. The initiative
driven by the Lagos branch coordinator was part of the "Show
Kindness to All" days.
CALABAR GEARS UP TO HIT 3
SECONDARY SCHOOLS!
Aunty Margret is one of the three secondary schools the Calabar
branch is planning to visit in the run up to the tour. The
instruction is that each branch is to have performances in secondary
schools before the team travels to SA at the end of April. Details
soon!

CT2 SEASON 2 WINNER- YEMI
BLAQ What a Grand
Finale...with what was for many a shock result. Yemi Blaq who was 7
points behind Stella Damasus in the dance finals ended up receiving
three times as many votes as his female counterpart to clinch the
coveted prize and win season 2 Celebrity Takes 2. We congratulate
him and his dance partner Funke Sodade.
BRANCHES TO ORGANISE OUTREACHES TO SECONDARY
SCHOOLS
Branches are hereby
given the instruction to organise outreaches to Secondary schools.
This comes after receiving direction to do this before we set out on
any tour this year. Coordinators are expected to make their plans
and present them at the end of February.

Hundreds of people turned up on the 1st of October at Guiding Light
Assembly, Ikoyi, Lagos to attend the very first
all-praise-worship-dance show ever! The people worshipped and danced

hosted what the CC considers to be the best D.I yet! An amazing
conference had
Spirit of David members congregate from all over Nigeria. From Sponta Takes 2 to Iron Man/Woman competition, the recreational
activities were off the charts!...and the Word - well download it

UK MINISTRATION: SUPER OUTING!
7 members of the UK branch attended ‘Speechless’ at
Discovery Centre at Jenkins Lane off North Circular Road, Barking,
Essex IG11 0AD. From early reports, it went splendidly. Praise God!
If you are in the UK, meet up with Niyi, Yanju and the gang, who are
presently on break till the 5th September.
