Love dance? Love God?
From the desire to
lose weight...to the hope of one day climbing stage for
Jesus...Spirit of David offers it all!
Admission takes place
on the 7th and 12th months of the year ONLY. Kindly call your
branch contact for a form and interview dates.
Our members are important. They form the vital,
living stones that make up God's Holy Church here on Earth. They
are stones, not bricks. We encourage membership
for all (that's why its gospel). We believe God will change you
and use you according to His purpose.
Its the truth that one does not put new wine into old wine skin.
The fact of the matter is that we are in different times. Most
members are growing into economic and societal maturity and
independence - and with it - the tempting need to commit
themselves the pursuit of other things. The key is not to equate
membership to anything other than involvement.
This section is geared
at providing our busier or 'out of range' members with an
opportunity to remain involved even in the light of their present
'commitment factors' by simply suggesting various ways they can
still contribute to the overall good of the club's vision and
purpose. In other words...JOIN
A PROJECT
This is a church
without walls. You are a member anywhere you are and the effect
and watchword of Spirit of David can still be felt wherever that
may be.
Never forget the three ingredients of a Spirit of David dance:
professionalism, uniqueness and the anointing!
Spirit of David has
branches in Ife, Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Calabar, South
Africa, Ilorin, Uyo, Ago-Iwoye, United Kingdom, Benin and
Ado-Ekiti.
Activities in all these branches are monitored by coordinators who
will be more than willing to detail you on admission processes.

Aima's
testimony: God
brought me to Lagos to serve. He has helped me understand what the
word SERVICE means. I thought I knew what it meant but I only knew a
very small part of it.
I'm thanking God for
everything! Things are still falling into place. From the plane
ticket to my posting...to finding SOD...to moving in with Yemisi...God
has been faithful even when I wasn't.

|| MESSAGE BOARD ||
"Hello,
Just wanted to drop a note to say how proud I am of Spirit of David
and grateful that there remnants out there obeying the command to
spread the gospel, to tell the world about a Saviour Who came, died,
rose and is coming back again.
The first time I watched an SOD performance I fell in love; not
because the dancing was spectacular but because it was supernatural.
Someone once told me the spectacular brings glory to man but the
supernatural brings Glory to God and that performance definitely
brought glory to the most high. It was an inspiration.
I have heard all sorts of stories about SOD that were not very
flattering and because of that, I began to despise people I had not
met (I know typical), but all this was because I was ignorant,
naive and ultimately has the spirit of the Pharisees. I know better
now. I know that we are all growing to become more like Christ and
we struggle everyday with our flesh, the world and finally the
father of all lies. I live in Scotland and moving here has made me
appreciate a lot of things. Like being a Christian for one thing,
actually beginning to know God and not take him for granted and I
have grown to respect and love the SOD ministry. I know you would be
coming to Scotland for your tour and I am grateful. I will love it
if you make it to Glasgow. I evangelize on the streets occasionally
and I know that this town...Scotland is a totally Godless town. The
very thought of God is lame. So from experience, I know what you
will face when you come here. The trials, tribulations, test.......
I ask that what ever message you bring, do not concentrate on the
believer, But focus on the lost. They do not believe that we all
have sinned, they do not believe that if there is a God he will pass
judgment one day; they laugh at the very idea of the end times. It
is hard, sad and painful sometimes because sometimes it feels like
we are not going anywhere when we preach on the streets. We do
dramas and dance on the streets; they watch, they enjoy it, they
hear the message and mock us.
In Nigeria we have a strong fear of God... we are not perfect or
saints but we do know fear God. and to acknowledge him; so it is
much easier. but here, you sometimes have to start from the
beginning. I have met people who have never heard of Jesus Christ,
oh they know it as a curse word but not as God who become man and
paid the price for sin. Evolution is considered the right theory,
God theory is ridiculous. Oh its really hard. Before you can
actually find a Christian; its like looking for a needle in a hay
stack.
I could go on forever but that is not the point. Just wanted to say
thanks for answering the call. God bless you infinitely and protect
you. Whom he has called he will equip and you will call a nation
that you do not know and nations that did not know you, shall run to
you because the lord thy God has glorified you. (This is what the
lord promised me and I feel like its for all of us)
Take Care team, and looking forward to seeing you guys here in
Scotland and hopefully you could also reach Ireland.
Regards"

" Dear
Follower,
Do you remember the time you were in
love with Jesus? Before you say 'but I still am' read on.
Do you remember, how:
You would dance to see souls touched
and saved.
You would pray until you saw that
change.
You were content and appreciated His
provision.
You were early to that prayer
meeting.
You would call others to see how they
were doing.
You would sow worthily into ministry,
one hand not knowing what the other was giving.
You would go out of you way to love,
many times unnoticed.
It was a joy to be part of something
selfless.
Now, our Lord looks and sees...
You are no longer in the garden He
put you in.
You ambitions have grown and so too
your sin.
You have less time for Him and true
service is gone.
Taking the message of Jesus to the
world sounds tedious and is forgotten
Will He find you in the place of your
first love when He comes?
Would you have multiplied what He
entrusted you with...
Or buried it all.
Will your excuses stand up to the God
of All Flesh
On that great and terrible day that
marks the end of death.
If you're reading this, its not times
that changed: you did!
And the Lord returns soon. Repent now
and live for Him.
True disciples leave all, pick up
their crosses and follow Jesus.
Sound too extreme and un-modern, then
you can see where the problem is.
Philippians 2.21 says 'for all seek
their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus'
There is a reason you had the
foundation you had, served where you served and were given the
leadership you did.
Return to God. Live solely for Him,
tell people the Truth and get into the Ark for in a short time this
email may prove to be the last warning to return to duty you may
ever receive.
Stay strong. Our Lord returns. May He
find you faithful and True.
Amen! Kumba

FROM YANJU (acting coord, UK branch) to the UK
branch members....
Good day all,
Its been awhile. I hope you are well and whilst I like to get to the
point- I pray this email will not only meet you well but leave you
better. It has got progressively difficult to get everyone together
for rehearsals on Saturdays. However picking up on the suggestion to
move the rehearsal to a time and location convenient to all/
majority-
Therefore I would appreciate if you would be so kind as to give your
periods of availability as there is much work to be done regarding
our production on the 4th of June and the necessary promos.
I believe that it is in losing sight of the vision that we are
losing steam. So even if we receive no information, we need to take
initiative and seek more information about the Scotland Tour- I
think it is worrisome that not only are we doing one dance in the
entire production, we also are not playing any roles in the play.
Please take time out to visit the www.3dancingmen.com website
and check out how the other branches are preparing relentlessly for
our show.
Wow, even as I say it I am ashamed- where do hosts become guests in
their own home.
Its got to the point that we have to consider collaborating with
other groups to have sufficient consistent numbers to do the dances.
Even if there is a problem with the leadership or structure of the
UK branch- I can't believe that no one is unable to respond and
challenge the difficulties so it may promptly be dealt with and we
put our hands to the plough.
If its the money, then we have to go back to the basics- find
accessible places to rehearse; learn faster, self rehearse to
lighten the load of our teachers to even encourage them to give us
over and above their best.
If its a lack of certainty as to the call, I suggest you return to
your Father and ask exactly where we ought to be
I know its not for lack of inspiration or people, rather a lack of
understanding the magnitude of what we are actually a part of, what
we are contributing, what is happening collectively.
So I implore you engage whilst there is yet time to do so-
Have we been rehearsing?, getting in shape?, praying for each other
and the show?, sowing in one way and another towards the oncoming
reality?
Even as I write this, the song by Fred Hammond Dance like David
comes on as a confirmation of what I have been thinking- the refrain
resounds loudly //do you wanna dance?// - if this is still ur
heart's cry then dance and let the Father work everything else out.
To understand where we are going, find out who we are and where
we've been. Knowing the standards set for us and the ceilings to
surpass.
As I have recently been asked, I in turn ask you what do you see for
SOD and what's ur role in it?
Even more humbling.....was a member's reply:
Thank you for calling us back to order.
I propose we all meet together asap to conclude our housekeeping
issues and get ready to receive our guests.
Mid day/afternoon on saturdays is most convenient for me. Any
location in London will do.
Regards to all,
Uchechi |
